What It's Like To Hang Out At The 5th Best Golf Course In South Africa

Category Property News

The St Francis Bay Links Golf Course has consistently placed in the country's top ten golf courses. This year the Jack Nicklaus signature golf course jumped to number 5. In fact, Jack himself, possibly the greatest golfer of all time, said that the St Francis Links Golf Course may well be "the best golf course I have ever seen." It is rather immaculate.

Facilities include a pro shop, and locker rooms and service. There are a driving range and a par 3 course, a course within a course that encourages faster golf. All looked over by the inimitable three times PGA Professional Of The Year and Master Professional Jeff Clause. He is the man who ensures that your golfing experience will not be forgotten, and he will ensure a seamless round of golf and loads of laughs along the way.

There are 45 electric golf carts, new e-bikes (4 available), and 15 easy to push three-wheel trolleys for those who want to play a regular game. It is a beautiful course to walk and remember that the Links Golf Course does not employ caddies.

There is more to The Links than the round of golf, though. It has become increasingly popular as a golf estate, with new builds going up all the time. More younger families move to St Francis and look for the added security that an estate provides. Older citizens also gravitate towards the estate's safety, and it is a growing hub with the St Francis community.

There is also the clubhouse, with the Links Golf Course Restaurant and the Jack Nicklaus bar. Fantastic food at the bar, with a breakfast menu until 11 am and the lunch menu from 12. Free Wi-Fi makes up the day time package, and there are lovely dinner evenings in the restaurant.

The leisure centre has a heated 25-meter pool and gym and is private and discreet. Swim training and gym work are open to residents, while the facility is open to private functions. Surrounded by lush grass and children's play amenities, the leisure centre is a popular facility within the Links estate.

If it's golf you want, then golf you will get at the country's 5th best course. For more tips on how to play your best round of golf ever, check out the Hole Explorer with advice for each hole.
